Nemo te

Nemo te condemnávit, múlier? Nemo, Dómine. Ned ego te condemnábo: jam ámplius nori peccáre.

Has anyone condemned you, woman? No one, Lord. Then neither do I condemn you: now go and sin no more.

Admittedly, I’ve fallen behind on my project- sickness, moving, life in general.

I’ve been having issues with iMovie recently, so I apologize that the score is cut-off. I have written to Apple asking them to fix the bug with the Ken Burns enabled feature.

I’ve also used the edition out of the Graduale Novum – there are a few pieces that I’ve grown to know and love from that particular edition, this one included. There are substantial differences between Graduale Novum and the Graduale Triplex. I will only address one presently. Yearning in the woman’s voice can be heard on the second “nemo” with the change to TI rather than DO. Modally, these tense notes resolve to the dominant, DO, on “mine”, highlighting her grateful deference to the Lord.
